Devotional Thought: “The Bread of His Presence”
When Jesus broke the bread at the Last Supper, He said, “This is My body, given for you.” (Luke 22:19)
This simple act carried eternal weight. Unleavened bread — made without yeast — represents purity and a life without sin. Just as leaven puffs up dough, sin puffs up our hearts. But Jesus, the sinless Lamb, humbled Himself and became our Bread of Life.
Every time we bake or share this bread, we’re reminded that His body was broken so that we might be made whole. In our daily lives, may we also be “broken and poured out” in love and service, just as He was for us.
